ZOOEY QD dedicated L-bracket for Nikon Z8

Solid piece of kit. Only has one QD connector due to the design of the camera. Does the job.

I really like your ZOOEY QD dedicated L-bracket for Nikon Z8; I love the color and the lightness, which are appreciated on long journeys.

Great addition to my Z 8!

This L-bracket fits a Z-8 perfectly. Its purpose is to allow quick switching from landscape to portrait when using a tripod, but it also serves as a great protector for your valuable camera body. The addition of a QD socket makes it a perfect companion to 3LT straps and slings.

Fits my expectations

the "bumper" at the side fell out as soon as I fitted it to my Z8 ! That's poor design right there. Everything else is perfect.

I was having trouble finding an L-Bracket for my Nikon Z8. The ones I found where I liked the fit, didn't have a QD socket. The ones with a QD socket either I didn't like the fit or they were cost prohibitive.

Then, one day, I stumbled across the Zooey and it was, in the words of Goldilocks, "Just Right". I liked the fit. The QD socket was strong and secure and the distinctive orange colour makes my camera easily identifiable.

I had a few issues when I first bought it, but it turned out that those problems had nothing to do with the Zooey, but the 3LT Customer Service went above and beyond to help me troubleshoot my issue. (It turned out to be a faulty QD stud on my strap, NOT the Zooey.)

If you have a Z8 and are looking for an L-Bracket, I highly recommend the Zooey!

Whilst the name may be a head-scratcher, the performance leaves nothing to question. The L-bracket adds little weight or bulk, but is incredibly versatile. Using the attachment point on the bottom of the upright, I'm able to secure a camera strap lug (can't wait for the 3 Legged Thing Axis Strap System to come out!) and easily attach the camera horizontally or vertically to my tripod with no extra fussing.

Very hard to find anything to fault. Light, fits perfectly still allowing access to ports/battery. Very sturdy. I would reccomend anyone looking to get an L bracket (or looking for a a way to mount the camera to the tripod in portrait orientation) to get this.

This L-bracket is perfect for use on the Z8. It fits securely and accurately, allowing access to all the necessary 'doors'. Of course, it does the job it's designed for, allowing the camera to be mounted in either landscape or portrait orientation, rapidly moving between the two. A great accessory and it looks good. too!

The Zooey QD is AMAZING! It fits the Z8 like a glove. Brilliant design, beautiful engineering, Arca-Swiss compatible for thecwonderful 3LT tripods, and the receiver for the new QD straps!

It's not cheap, but worth every penny.

What a beautifully made bracket that fits my Z8 perfectly. And that orange looks superb, almost like jewellery. In use it just works and gets on with it with no fuss because it is so well designed and engineered. I am looking forward to my Axis strap arriving to use with Zooey, that will be a great combo. This is great piece of art and engineering combined! It's beautifully crafted and formed to fit the camera perfectly, it's worthy to be fixed on to your amazing Nikon Z8. The design allows you to access all the functions such battery compartment out in field with out removing it. I love the zingy orange, very different to the standard black, makes it a real feature, love it. Definitely recommend it and I will only use 3 legged thing L brackets as Ive had many years of great service in the past

I had been using a full cage on my Nikon Z8, but since I often shoot vertically on a tripod, I started looking for an L-plate to make things more convenient.

I came across a wide range of products—from affordable AliExpress brands to domestic (Korean) and American options—all with different price points and designs. However, I wasn't too keen on using something that everyone else already had. I also figured there must be good alternatives from other countries.

I initially considered RRS, but not only was it too expensive, it was also out of stock at the time.
I ruled out domestic options because they lacked a mounting hole that would allow me to attach my Falcam baseplate on the bottom.

Eventually, I discovered this UK-made product, and I have to say—it met all my needs. Actually, the bottom plate layout is, in my opinion, the best I've seen, so I decided to give it a try.

The build quality is excellent. The QD sling socket and other mounting holes are finished with what seems like stainless steel inserts, giving the whole piece a solid and durable feel.
I also really liked the adjustable system for fine-tuning the fit between the camera body and the vertical plate—it ensures a tight and precise connection.

After using it for a few days, I'm confident I made the right purchase.

The total cost was about 196,000 KRW (roughly £115), so you can consider it around 200,000 KRW.
It was shipped via Royal Mail, and since no personal customs code was required in Korea, there were no additional duties.
Shipping took around a week, give or take a couple of days.

I've just switched from a Nikon Z7ii with Zelda bracket, to a Z8. So immediately went for the Zooey bracket, which is even more robust than the Zelda! The finish is immaculate, and I've no doubt on it's ability to support the camera & lenses for a lifetime!

This bracket is fantastic! It feels extremely sturdy, and doesn't add much weight to the camera. It is also still pretty comfortable to hold the camera. I love how many secret features it has. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a Z8.

Zooey is a beautifully crafted L-bracket for Nikon's flagship ["Pro-sumer"] Z 8. The fit is perfect and the finish is very fine. It's also less expensive than either the Kirk or RRS bracket and at least comparable in quality and construction.

I nearly always struggle to use portrait mode when using my tripod. Decided to go for an L Bracket and for me it works really well. Simple to fit and use. The design of this bracket is good as it allows access to the side components on the Z8. For me it was well worth the investment.

Premium fit and feather light !

I'm an architectural photographer using expensive lenses. The Zooey is the best L-bracket that I've come across, and it happens to be one of the least expensive. Additionally, you get an adapter for the Peak Design capture clip, which is awesome. Great innovation by the team and a top product: thank you!

This is one of the best L-Brackets I've purchased. It's been well designed and fits the camera perfectly. I like the fact that other accessories can be fitted if required.

This is absolutely perfect for the Z8 and the copper colour is really cool. I bought the multitool to go with it but found there was already a tool provided in the box, but it's a great tool so no harm in having 2. I love the raised pin on the bracket that sits in a small hole on the Z8 and stops the bracket from twisting sideways. Very well designed and made bracket

Having bought L-brackets previously for my other cameras, I wanted one specifically designed for the Nikon Z8 and I am not disappointed. 3 Legged Thing L-brackets are well designed and well made.

Nice, solid bracket. I like the lack of bulk in its design and the performance I have gotten from the finish on my other 3 Legged brackets. This one allowed the camera body to fall in place quickly and tightly, so a quick attachment.

I ordered Zooey (in Copper) the first day it was available in October 2023, and it arrived from across the pond in about a week. It fits perfectly, and is smaller and stiffer than an L-bracket that I had purchased from another manufacturer as a stopgap when I first got my Z8 back in June. I especially like that the adapter for the Peak Design Capture Clip which I use is also a perfect fit using just one screw for ease of installation. I also own an L-bracket for my D850 and a monopod (both by 3LT), and really like the design and quality of 3-Legged Things. I only wish it had been available sooner in time for some late-summer travel to National Parks that I had planned, but it was worth the wait.

Very satisfied with this bracket, fits my Z8 perfectly.
