3 Legged Thing reveal new levelling accessories
The award-winning British tripod manufacturer introduces rugged new Levelling Base and 75mm Half Bowl accessories to complement their tripods and add functionality to existing tripod systems.
Following the huge growth in popularity across all of their product ranges 3 Legged Thing is excited to announce two new levelling accessories: a Levelling Base compatible with all 3 Legged Thing Tripods, and any tripods with 3/8"-16 mounting threads, and a 75mm Half Bowl perfect for use with both their Legends Nicky and Tommy tripods, and cross compatible with all 75mm bowl mount video tripods. The new products deliver incredible functionality and give tripods an extra level of versatility. Both products are ideal for both photo and video use.

The Levelling Base is made from precision engineered anodised aerospace-grade magnesium alloy. It offers users two mounting options; with a standard ¼â€-20 thread, users can directly mount a camera to the Levelling Base, or by using the 3/8" 16 adapter, can mount a head or compatible accessories on top for further versatility.
Equipped with a ratcheted locking knob on one side for the Base's levelling action, the Base allows users to achieve a level horizon without having to adjust their tripod's leg positions, reducing set-up times, and increasing accuracy and precision levelling.
Featuring a female 3/8"–16 thread in the base, the Levelling Base can be attached to any tripod or monopod with a 3/8"-16 mounting screw. The Levelling Base features a knurled knob which enables and locks the 360û panning base.
Equally useful for video makers, landscape photographers and perfect for properly levelling images for panoramas, the Levelling Base enables users to have an effortless and quick set up even on the most challenging terrains.
To help users achieve a level horizon, there is a bubble level built into the top of the Levelling Base.
The 75mm Half Bowl is formed from anodised aerospace-grade magnesium alloy and is designed to work with 75mm bowl mounts on a variety of tripods including 3 Legged Thing's own Nicky and Tommy tripods. To enable attachment to tripod heads, the 75mm Half Bowl features a standard 3/8"-16 thread on the top. For extra security there are support screws which when tightened up give an extra secure connection between the bowl and a head.
The Half Bowl is perfect for use with both 3 Legged Thing Nicky or Tommy tripods in collaboration with the AirHed Cine, 3LT's lightweight video head. The Half Bowl features a bubble level to ensure the head is positioned correctly. It also features a locking handle that enables the Half Bowl and head to be positioned and then locked into place.
The base of the Half Bowl's handle has a knurled hook that can be used for hanging additional weight to increase the stability of your tripod if needed, or removed to provide a further female 3/8"-16 mounting point for additional accessories. The top of the bowl features a unique and eye-catching spider web design. Grippy, 3M O-Pads at the bottom of the handle enable users to adjust the positioning of the bowl even in damp conditions or when wearing thick gloves. The underside of the bowl has cut out points which give access to the support screws for loosening or tightening.
