Following on from the popularity of its Ollie dedicated L-bracket for OM System's OM-1 and OM-1 Mk II, 3 Legged Thing is excited to announce Ollie QD. This Arca-Swiss compatible, single-piece L-bracket perfectly fits the contours of both cameras. It gives users full access to battery doors and side ports.
Ollie QD's vertical aspect has a cut-out that allows the camera's rear screen to be opened and tilted. The L-bracket also features a notch in the vertical aspect to accommodate the camera's strap lug.
Following feedback from some customers regarding the original Ollie L-bracket, small adjustments have been made to the base layout, enabling the camera to sit fully flush to the bottom of the L-bracket. 3 Legged Thing has also added a QD (quick detach) port into the base, that enables use with a variety of QD accessories, including straps.
"We had some really useful feedback from customers on our first Ollie L-bracket, so we've incorporated that into the new single-piece QD version," said Stuart Boston, Chief Operating Officer, 3 Legged Thing. "We expect these additional features to be really popular with OM System users."
Ollie QD also retains compatibility with the Peak Design Capture clip (v3) thanks to the robust glass-reinforced nylon adapter and pass-thru camera screw supplied in the box.
Ollie QD has some additional handy features in its base – a ¼â€-20 screw thread for attachment of accessory arms, and a strap attachment slot at one end. It also features security pins on the bottom for an extra secure fit.
Made from beautifully anodised, aerospace-grade, magnesium alloy, Ollie QD is available in 3LT's signature L-bracket colours; Copper (orange), and Darkness (matte black).
