Description

Bigger Than You Think…

Albert 2.0 is a travel tripod system with a huge upgrade.
Following in the footsteps of his predecessor Albert, Albert 2.0 is compact enough for air transport but powerful enough to hold any camera. Not only is he capable of extending over 1.8m / 6 ft, a unique ability in the world of travel tripods, he also boasts a removable centre column, becoming an invaluable tool for macro work.

Not one, not two, but three

Albert 2.0’s unique modular construction, with three detachable legs, allows for a multitude of configurations including monopod, low-level and table-top tripod, enabling use for even the most niche of applications.

The tallest, smallest tripod in the world

A limitation of most travel tripods is height and stability, due to the number of sections required to make it compact, but Albert 2.0’s unique centre column, and 3 Legged Thing's Parallel Locking system take this travel tripod to great heights without compromising stability

Optimised for heavy loads

Albert 2.0’s unique design enables load capabilities of up to 30kg / 66lb. With weight-balanced locks to lower the centre of gravity, Albert 2.0 is the industry benchmark for travel tripod technology.

Absolutely brilliant tripod - lightweight, versatile and rugged - it's been put through its paces in cold rivers and rough seas and is still going strong. The materials and colours look awesome, too. Thoroughly recommend.

Professional Standard

Tripod is very well built & engineered for efficiency. It holds a Canon R3 with a 28-70 f2 with no issues.
This is my first 3LT purchase & I'm extremely satisfied with it. I would recommend this over PD Travel tripod.

WHY WHY WHY?

Why did I not get this tripod in the first place? I bought a cheaper brand and model thinking I didn't need to spend this money as I was just starting out. Well it turns out, that a cheaper tripod can lead to massive frustration. The Albert 2.0 did not disappoint once I decided to finally pull the trigger. This thing is lightweight, intuitive, and absolutely solid. At the same time, it folds up into its bag and is super easy to travel with. It truly is the best of both worlds.

The height is impressive, the quality is even more impressive. They used real carbon fiber instead of a cheap overlay or sticker to make it look like carbon fiber. The grips to twist and lock the legs are so incredibly solid. Hey 3LT, nice work, I am annoyed with myself that I hesitated.

Better Than IBIS

The Albert 2.0 is a very stable and versatile tripod. It is easy to set up and use, and it is very stable in even windy conditions. The ball head is smooth and easy to use, and it has a quick-release plate that makes it easy to attach and detach your camera.

Great all rounder

I've had an Albert 2.0 for just over a year so feel well placed to leave a review. For the record I have a Canon 5D MK4, regularly paired with a 24-70 and 70-200 attached when on Albert.

This is what I've learnt over the course of 12 months:
- sturdy, but light and compact enough for travel. I flew to Germany with Albert strapped to my camera backpack, had a day exploring an abandoned building and 2 days walking around Berlin.
- robust enough for studio work. A Canon 5D MK4 plus 70-200 on a tripod ring isn't 'lightweight' by any means.
- versatile design for any scenario, the 'footwear' is superb
- low maintenance. I've only had to tighten the main top leg nuts once or twice in over 12 months; I've had other tripods which needed tightening up every other month.
- I particularly like the twist lock design for the leg extensions; it is quick, smooth, well designed and safer; especially compared to my previous tripod which regularly took lumps out of my fingers with it's flawed flip clip design.

In short, Albert has exceeded my expectations and still looks like new despite some of the holes I've shot in...

Travel beast

My first 3 LT tripod and love all that it does so small but very strong

Beast of a tripod

I'm 187cm (6'2") tall and with most tripods, even with center column out and camera on top, I have to bend down a bit, which does get noticeable in my back and neck. I wanted a taller tripod that I could still travel with and found Albert.
It's been a joy to shoot with and I love it. It also looks cool compared to all these other boring grey or black tripods!

So versatile

My first impression was of its sturdy weight, but its compact size and sheer versatility won me over. It is well made, everything works as it should. I particularly like the ability to use it without the centre column, or as a simple (3 simple?) monopod(s).

Versatile!

Here is a very versatile product, adapted to every situations and for every user's size (I'm 1.93m tall and can use it without bending over).
This tripod is resistant and so small when folded up, so easily portable.
In case of need you can convert it as a monopod :)

“Albert Rocks”.

Hi 3LT.
So I have used Albert 2.0 for the first time over this Easter weekend and I have to say Im really impressed. Not only did I use my Fuji XT3 and zoom lens, but also my Celestron Ultimate 100 Spotting Scope, Albert coped brilliantly with both.
Straight out of the box you can tell this a well built tripod, which gives you confidence in it immediately. All the fixtures move and operate really well, which is good because there are a lot of moving parts on this tripod, and that is also something that makes it so versatile. Many configurations are possible, like converting it into a monopod, only takes a matter of seconds and even that in itself felt robust and easy to use. Also being able to extend Albert to his maximum height makes astro photography so much easier, especially with the XT3s tilted screen.
Im really pleased with Albert and am looking forward to putting him to the test again soon. He may not have the coolest name in the range but Alberts performance certainly rocks. Well done 3LT.

All Around Great Tripod

First, it is visually appealing. It is well made with everything working smoothly. It's surprisingly sturdy for a tripod that folds down as much as it does. It can be configured in so many different ways, I'm hard pressed to find a situation it can't handle. Then there are accessories that add functionality. I have tried so many tripods over the years. This one ranks at the top.

The Albert has suited my purposes beautifully making my trips out for a little relaxation time with reduced worries.
The stability is excellent and adjustment simple and intuitive.
A well made excellent product
