Quite heavy if not using the strap but they well made. I can't help feel they are not as subtle as the Peak Design system I had previously. However, the QD attachment is quicker to mount and just as secure.

Good for when you want the style of a traditional strap but the quick release of the qd system. Or as I use it on my big camera bodies with the plate on the base and one on the top lug to hand it sideways and still know it’s secure.

Seems solid enough but not sure how much I really trust the lace with a heavy item

They are quite capable and seem to be very strong. My only concern/complaint isn't even a problem with the device, just a problem with how I expect to use them and my own workflow restrictions.

The plate-style QD female port is a hard-mounted point on the camera or lens. When I'm running and gunning, a plate isn't going to shift on me, meaning I don't risk missing the connection during action in a game.

With these links, it's going to serve more as a backup for items that don't have a QD plate mounted to them (extra lenses hung from a belt, etc.). It's great as a backup, for items I don't have a QD plate mounted to, but I personally couldn't use it like the PeakDesign snap lock system it parallels because of how I operate. It doesn't connect (for me at least) as easily as the PeakDesign Anchor links. Great, quality device - which I'll use for mounting spare gear - just limited for my workflow.

If you want the security of the QD and consistency of connection type across your gear, it's well worth the price for extra QD female ports.
