3 Legged Thing is excited to release Pivot Magic Arms. Pivot arms enable users to attach lights, microphones, or monitors to tripods, L-brackets, and long release plates, including 3LT's new Ultra Plates. The latter fully funded on Kickstarter in just 2.5 hours.

"Magic arms have long been a standard accessory of videographers, and as we expand our range of products to move into content creation and broadcast media, Pivot Arms were an obvious addition to the range of products we're developing," said Danny Lenihan, CEO & Founder, 3 Legged Thing.

Pivot arms feature a ¼â€-20 screw thread at either end to connect to either the accessory or the mounting point. These are screwed into place using the knurled rotational locks that optimise grip for a secure mount.

Each screw thread can be precisely positioned using the omni-directional ball socket at its base. A large wing knob controls both the angle of the Pivot arm and the placement of the ball sockets, which offers users huge versatility.

Formed from aerospace-grade magnesium alloy with Stainless Steel fixings, these robust Pivot arms boast impressive load capabilities – 5 kg / 11 lb for the Pivot 150, and 3kg / 6.6 lb for the Pivot 250. This is more than enough for most standard lights, mics and monitors.

Pivot comes in 150mm and 250mm lengths, when extended, and in two colourways – Darkness (matte black) and Lava (black with orange accents).

The arms are priced at £61.99 / US $79.99 for Pivot 150, and £69.99 / US $89.99 for Pivot 250. They are available now directly from 3LeggedThing.com and all good camera retailers online and in stores. Find your nearest retailer at 3leggedthing.com/where-to-buy.
