Beautiful piece of engineering, lovely colour. One area it stands out is the twist clamp, only need to tighten finger tight to hold the ball head. I’ve had other makes where you really need a good tight twist to ensure it holds. All in all, simple ball head that really works, no added gimmicks

Perfectbreplacement for the ball head on my old tripod. Great stability with a long lense fitted. Level and panorama function brilliant and a great upgrade from my old ball head. Colours of blue and copper stunning, but scare the birds :-)

Purchased the airhead pro ball head 12 months ago and have since paired it with the 3lt Lbracket both products I cannot fault the ball head replaced a manfrotto head that the camera fell off even though it was properly secured. Never had any issue with the 3lt holds my 100-400 with no creeping easy to adjust and the bubble level I find perfect for panoramas.
Last thing I want to say is big thanks to the staff any question or advice they have been honest and helpful. Currently saving up for one of their tripods.

Strongest ball head I've used so far, really nice quality!
I recommend this ball head to everyone.

Really pleased with this and also the Arca bracket purchased both for usability and build quality. Had attached to existing tripod but after using these have since purchased a Charles 2.0 based on the build quality and ease of use.

Hmm, I think I have changed my mind

Having used a pan and tilt for years I bought one of these airhed pro's. Only because I was using the Trinity head from three legged thing and really found that to be well built, smooth operating and held on snuggly in any position I needed it too. With a heavy lens and camera. I have been using the L Bracket (again a 3leg thing) so I was using an old ball head I had never really used much as it would not keep a solid grip on where I pointed the lens. Was awful and the reason I had given up on ball heads and moved back to pan and tilt. But then I used the Trinity and thought if this is as good as it is then I'll try a ball head from three legged thing. Glad I did. Superb piece of kit. Can't really fault it and now finding after all these years my mind has changed and I now prefer this over the pan and tilt.
Wish I had bought one sooner!ll

An awesome solid ball head for any tripod!

I use the AirHed Pro with the excellent Leo 2.0 Tripod, and it is quite solid and robust. Though it lacks a friction control, the main lock knob is so smooth, it is easy to simply loosen it just enough to move the camera rig into the desired position and then tighten it up solid! It easily supports a Nikon Z8 with any lens including a 180-600, and of course, smaller systems such as the Fujifilm X-System. Highly recommended!

Light but sturdy!

Bought this just before going away with a view to some low light images, my previous ball head would begin to sag after tightening but this grips tight and stays locked in position. The clamp fits my Zooey L bracket perfectly, the single large adjustment knob makes composition a breeze. The build quality and finish is fabulous, the weight perfect, price super and it's British!

Strong head with quick controls

I have been using this with a heavy Sony A7R IV with a 400mm lens. This head easily handles it and enables to quickly locks the 3d position with just one knob. Situations similar to moon photography become very easy. Horizontal panning is also a good feature.

Awesome Airhed Pro

I have one on my Winston and on Lance and love it. It is so smooth and has a very professional feel, which came in handy as I was able to smoothly track deer that surprised us hiking in the woods. I had it on Lance and never had to stoop or lean back to take pictures in trees or pan across the landscape. On Winston, I was able to smoothly follow little wrens and track them with ease. This is a great product.

Relish The Darkness

(Part 4 of the Barnyard Lament trilogy)
I get it. You're Stuck In A Rut. Every Inch Of You is longing for the summer and better light. On a Friday Night you would be thinking of how you could jump on Southern Trains to get you down to the coast, perhaps to photograph the south downs, the white cliffs or the beaches where All The Pretty Girls go. Perhaps wildlife photography is your thing and it's to East Anglia that you venture (around Lowestoft maybe) in search of the Black Shuck. Either way, don't go Givin' Up. Don't go Makin' Out that photograph is just a fair-weather pastime. The light may not be all that but, if you want a One Way Ticket to sharp images, the Airhed Pro is Solid Gold. I bought one and now this low light photography thing is really Growing On Me. So don't be a Barbarian, get out there and practice your art. Perched on Airhed Pro, you can safely Open Fire with those slower shutter speeds. If you're not a proud owner of Airhed Pro already, fear not as its Christmas Time – Don't Let the Bells End and go treat yourself. I Believe in a Thing Called Photography, even and now especially in these months when The Darkness abounds.

Great Addition - Upgrade

Purchased a1st Gen Leo a number of years ago which came with the standard AirHed at the time. My previous Winston has included the AirHed Pro, so bought a second one and couldn't believe the improvement.
Easily supports my 100-400 lens with the Sony a7rv and is stable enough for all night astro time lapse sequences.
Another freak product from 3 Legged Thing.

Top level head

Had mine for several years now. Love the size, weight (it's v. light) and ease of use. I use it pretty much every day on Albert or Brian for property work. Build quality first class and lasts forever.

Rock Solid

I bought this to go with my Legends Mike CF tripod, perfect match both colour and functionality wise.
I use it with a Canon 5D MK IV but the ball locks off rock solid with hardly any pressure. The engineering is second to non as I'd expect from 3LT making it a real pleasure to use.

I really can't think of any negatives and would have not hesitation in highly recommending.

Strong and Light

I haven't had this head very long yet, but I am enjoying it. It's about half the size and weight of the head from another manufacturer that it's replacing and holds considerably more weight.

However, I use it with fairly heavy gear, i.e. a Fuji GFX medium format system, and as there is no friction adjustment, I have to be very careful to maintain a good grip on the camera when loosening the main tension knob. An adjustable friction knob would be a good addition. Still I do recommend the head. Love the colours too!

Exceptionally well engineered design.

Purchased a AirHed Pro Ball head with QR4 Plate for use with a QR11 L- Bracket on my camera. Transformational change regarding ease of operation. Rock solid with my heaviest kit, Canon 5DS + Telephoto lens using the lens mount (2.7kg in total). Love the anodised colour too. Very funky.

Solid as a rock

Having owned plenty of big, heavy heads I took a leap of faith with the AirHed Pro Ballhead. It's lived up to the hype of being unbelievably compact and lightweight, supports a staggering 40kg, which is all I could ever need and has been a stellar performer from day one. I use it with long lenses, different sized legs and even fits onto a tabletop tripod perfectly. If you're into lighter gear that punches well above it's weight and won't let you down, look no further than this mighty mini.

Surpasses my expectations!

I picked this up to match my new Leo and I come from using another major brand and larger size ballhead. I am very impressed at the weight it will take and how securely it locks down. Very smooth operation and nothing fiddly, just a great strong design!

Excellent

I purchased the Airhed Pro so I could reutilize my Airhed Neo 2.0 on other equipment. The Airhed Pro is built strong and functions on par with other 3LT equipment. 100% recommend!

Outstanding Ballhead

I purchased the Airhed pro recently and so far I'm absolutely in love with thr build quality. All the components feel sturdy and doesn't seem to drag with heavier telephoto lenses. Would recommend!
