Ultra Plates Multifunktionale Arca-Swiss-kompatible Schnellwechselplatten

This Copper colored 200mm Ultra Plate not only looks great, but also functions perfectly as a strong, versatile component to my camera body support (the Thingy) and tripod to use with my telephoto lens. To be able to dial in just the right balance to distribute weight evenly across the Arca-swiss clamp for a heavy lens is the comfort and peace I need to trust valuable equipment. Even when not using this with a telephoto, there are so many versatile screw threads that allow creativity in camera, mic, and lighting setups.

It is what I needed. I had a 200 but needed a longer one—in copper. I like the copper color but unfortunately I often have to settle for a different color. I use them to support my long telephotos when I use a 2x extender because I don't want to strain the lens/camera mount. Another great product from 3 Legged Thing.

I bought the four in the range initially during the crowd funding because I thought they might be useful. How wrong my thoughts. They are my first "go-to" in my toolbox. Totally invaluable. Totally flexible. Have solved most of my macro jig building problems. So when they were on offer I knew I’d have to have the largest and smallest to double up for a couple of planned projects.

A great tool to add extra capabilities to attach microphone, flash etc

Great quality and facility. I use it to relieve stress on the lens/camera mount when using my 500mm f/4.5 telephoto lens. Also, useful for off-camera flash.

Simple and effective. Useful addition to my 180 - 600mm telephoto lens - allowing for a more secure attachment to the tripod / monopod.

I think I have one of every size at this point. I am a gear junkie and always have way more tech than I really need. I love these plates because you can attach souch STUFF to them. They really are bullet proof and handle anything. And not for nothing everything 3 Legged Thing makes looks gorgeous. Which as someone into visual art is just the best cherry on top.

Excellent plate. Well engineered.
I purchased the longest plate to give me flexibility with balance when using a variety of length lens with DSLR and Mirrorless bodies with cages, monitors add ons etc.
Difficult to find any negative issues.
However one modification to include two support screws positioned either side of the rear of a lens foot (to prevent rotation) would be a benefit for me with some of my larger lens.
The only company, I'm aware of, that currently does this is Pro Media gear (American Company) I have one of their plates fixed to my Canon EF300 Prime.
Otherwise your products are good and from a UK company !!

I bought two of these plates. I have found them to be very well made, well thought out and versatile. I would buy another if I needed to and I would highly recommend them to anyone else.

Well thought out addition to the 3LT family of accessories. As always, well made with a premium feel, these plates include some clever touches like the cable hook and additional screw holes.

great plate just what you need, strong and looks decent

As with all 3 Legged Thing gear, it's very well made. Looks and feels strong and will be very useful when I have to bolt on a big lens on my 3 Legged Thingy.

I bought the 300mm in black. I could just hold it, stroke it and marvel at how well made it is. There are so many ways to use it. Very clever.

I thought, "I could use that for ...." when I was looking for a sturdy way to hold the camera plus a pair of video lights on a tripod or a monopod. Then you realise you can bolt two together to make a longer bar for better separation. Then you realise you can use them bolted at an angle. Then you find that they can be used at 90deg to normal in a Arca-Swiss clamp. And it goes on. They are so flexible. You don't just get a hellishly strong bar of anodised aero-engineering alloy, you buy flexibility because there are more fixing points than you could want. And the colours are so cool. I bought the orange ones because I needed to see where they were. I could imagine that these would be so desirable, once other guys and gals see them, that they might wander into a different gadget bag.
