James is the slimmer of our Modular Tactical Tripod Systems, combining a compact canopy with interchangeable carbon fibre leg sets to create a tripod that can change depending on where you're going and what you're doing.

Choose James with 3, 4, or 5-section legs.

5-section James is the most compact when folded, making it ideal for travel and situations where packing small matters.

4-section James balances portability, working height, and stability for a great all-round setup. For greater working height and maximum stability.

3-section James uses larger diameter leg tubes and fewer sections to create the most stable setup of the three.

Whichever you choose, James is built around eight-layer premium 3K weave carbon fibre legs and oversized Helical Strake-style leg locks. Easy to grip for optimum leverage, the locks are designed to channel airflow downwards to help root your tripod and dampen unwanted vibrations. With support for equipment weighing up to 30 kg / 66 lb, James provides a stable platform for photography, video, optics, and supported shooting setups.

Remove one leg to use James as a bipod. Use the single leg as a monopod, or boom arm for lights or mics. Remove all three legs, add Spikez or Flatz (sold separately) for use as a tabletop tripod.

The compact James canopy features a swappable mounting plate with a 3/8"-16 thread for compatible tripod heads, clamps, and mounts, alongside a bubble level and 1/4"-20 accessory socket. A QD socket underneath the 3/8”-16 screw and mounting plate provides an additional connection point for compatible QD straps and accessories.

And because James is modular, choosing your tripod is only the beginning. Swap between 3, 4, and 5-section leg sets, change your tripod footwear to suit the terrain, or change the canopy to a Jason when your next shoot setup demands.
