UNIVERSAL L-BRACKETS

Universal L-brackets are designed with versatility in mind, to work with a wide range of different camera models. As camera manufacturers create models with battery doors, camera screw threads, side ports, and rear screens in many different configurations, a universal L-bracket needs to be adjustable to accommodate these varied features.

Our simple universal L-bracket is the QR11 2.0. It comes in two sizes QR11-L 2.0 for mirrorless and standard DSLR cameras, and QR11-FB 2.0 for full body and cameras with battery grips fitted.

Our Lexie L-bracket is modular, with a wide range of configurations and has only 3 colours to choose from with all options coming with a glass-reinforced nylon Peak Design Capture adapter plate.

Our Ellie L-bracket system is also modular, with greater versatility, adjustability, and 4 different base options, enabling it to fit a wide range of cameras.

CHOOSE YOUR ORIENTATION

L-brackets are designed to enable a quick change from landscape to portrait orientation and vice-versa, when using a tripod. They enable the user to maintain a level horizon and keep the camera on the same focal plane, while keeping the weight of the camera above the centre of the tripod - the most stable position.
GO UNIVERSAL

If you own more than one camera, or switch your camera body regularly, a universal L-bracket can give you the needed functionality without having to buy a new L-bracket for each camera. Thanks to adjustable mount positioning, a universal L-bracket can fit on to a variety of cameras. Look below for more information on compatibility.
ARCA-SWISS & PEAK DESIGN® CAPTURE

All of our L-brackets are compatible with standard Arca-Swiss style clamps, which means they can used with a variety of tripods. In addition, our Ellie universal L-bracket system also has versions that are able to be clipped into Peak Design's Capture clip system.

QR11 2.0, LEXIE or ELLIE?

So which universal L-bracket should you get? Here's a little help...

QR11 2.0
- You need a simple L-bracket to switch orientations.
- You have a camera that fits an L-bracket with a fixed-length base.
- You have a full body camera or camera with battery grip fitted.
- Access to battery door and side ports is less important to you.
- You want to attach a single-point sling-style strap to the vertical aspect.
- You want good access to rear tilt screens.
LEXIE
- You don't use a battery grip or have a full-body (1D, D4, D5 etc) camera.
- You want an L-bracket with the option to work with Peak Design's Capture clip v3
- You want a Bracket to fit on more than one camera
- You need stronger vertical tethered shooting.
- You need better access to the battery or cable doors
- You want an extendable base to give better port/tethering access in portrait orientation
- You need a tapered base for better access to flip out screens.
- You'd like a cut-out in the vertical aspect for cable management.
- You want a lighter accessory for your camera.
- You want to attach multiple accessories to your bracket.
- You'd like greater versatility of fit on different camera bodies.
- You need the L-bracket to be adjustable for forward or backward positioning on the camera.
ELLIE SYSTEM
