Description

And Now For Something Completely Different…

Wraith is a shoulder bag for photographers on the move that need quick access to their gear. Challenging conventional design and aesthetics, the Wraith is as unconventional as it is pragmatic.

Safe and Dry

Wraith features a water-resistant and sealed “Frog” pocket, accessible from the exterior of the bag, that you can stow wet items safely away from your valuable electronics. It can also be used to stow your camera in bad weather for safekeeping. When not required, the internal divider collapses into the pocket to give you additional storage space.

Flapping Awesome

Wraith has a front flap that protects the two organiser pockets, with counter-flow zips to prevent side access or theft, and houses a hidden pocket for those valuable items like cash and passports.

No Waste

Wraith is constructed from premium fabrics. The cloth pieces are cut in order to tesselate perfectly which results in minimal wastage. Any remaining small offcuts are shredded and recycled.

The Features:

Tablet Access

Wraith features a tablet pocket that sits behind the front flap, making it accessible without opening the bag, whilst hidden under a discreet YKK zipper.

An Organiser’s Paradise

The internal organisation is designed by photographers, so there’s space for your essential kit – extra lenses, flashguns, filters, mics, monitors, and the dividers can be moved to fit your gear.

Zip Me Up

As you’d expect from a premium bag, Wraith has YKK or Aquaguard Zippers on all compartments, keeping your gear secure.

Laptop Carry and More

At the rear is the laptop pocket, with corner access YKK Aquaguard zipper. The rear panel also houses a small accessories pocket, and a luggage strap, for connecting to suitcases or roller bags. The side of the bag features a mesh pocket for a water bottle or flask.

Hardest of Hardware

All D-rings and hardware are Duralock nylon and designed to withstand the rigours of everyday professional use.

Strap It Two Ways

The shoulder strap is made of woven nylon webbing, smooth and tactile, with easily adjustable length, and finished with a detachable shoulder pad, with air-mesh and silicone grips. It has a choice of side or rear attachment points to enable use as a messenger or sling style bag.

My wife bought me the first bag, which is the backpack. I bought the bigger messenger. then I bought the smaller messenger for her. We love these bags.

Onyx / Large 20L

It's a great bag with lots of capacity. My only criticism is with stuff in it the flap section doesn't often align with the magnetic closures, an adjustable Clio would have been better. Still sturdy and a bargain at its current price.

Typical outstanding Toxic camera bag build quality. The size will work great for my 35mm or 120 film cameras - I use backpacks for digital and messenger bags for film to make them easier to recognized when grabbing them. The wet area is a nice feature and the dividers inside work well. A couple of more small pockets would have been nice for additional film, filters and accessories. I will be buying another as my camera collection grows.

Onyx / Large 20L

Hard to judge the size from a photo, but 25l one was chosen. First usage fitted Nikon Z9, Sigma 70-200mm, Nikon D500 and grip, Tamron 35mm and Tamron 24-75mm along with straps and bits and bobs.
Well made bag would buy again if I needed to.

Excellent quality but very tight top opening makes it difficult to take cameras in and out. Ultimately not a useful camera bag.

Onyx / Medium 15L

could have been a contender...
I wanted a mid-size bag and it that sense this fits the bill. About the right size and looks good and smart without being obviously a camera bag. So why not 5 stars? It is a camera bag but the storage is more like my work laptop bag.
Why 2 laptop pockets?
The flap over the pockets lifts too easily
The side pockets dont have gussets so storing bits and bobs is restricted and I end up using the main compartment
The frog pocket seems to me to be pointless in a bag of this size

As it is the right size I will keep and use it but a bit more thought about what might need to be carried and how it would be used it would have been a five-star product.

Sssshhh!!! Great Bag with a Secret

Love this bag, inside & out. Like all 3LT products it's built to last, practical and quirky. It looks great and will be perfect for a forthcoming trip to a family wedding to Cyprus. It can easily stow my Canon 6D Mk2, 70-200mm, 16 - 35mm, a 1.4x and a nifty 50 together with my laptop (well padded and protected) and all the usual gubbins we need which can be stashed in one of countess pouches, zipped pockets and compartments. It's comfy to carry or wear with a nice padded and grippy strap and a solid manageable shape and size to easily go along as hand luggage. And finally it has a secret!!!! . . . . . The rain cover's a ****er to find. It's in a secret hidden pocket, so well secreted only Indiana Jones could find it!! Alternatively you can contact the helpful customer services guys and embarrass yourself by having to enquire!

Great Bag

Be warned, you can actually get a lot in these bags! Side pockets were a little tight at first but seem to get easier with use. I normally have in it a Canon R5 mostly with an RF 24-70mm attached, an EF 100 - 400mm separate, a speedlite, some filters, spare cards and batteries, some filters plus a 15" MacBook Pro. It appears to quite tough and looks great too (but not looking like a camera bag). The price makes it great value for money.

Fantastic Bag: Robust, Flexible and good looking

Last week, I took the plunge and ordered the 15L Wraith as it appeared to have the perfect dimensions for travel on Ryanair. My plan was to use the frog pocket to store my Canon EOS with a lens so I could use the Wraith as a small over the shoulder sling for City/Town photography.
Unfortunately the frog pocket just isn't big enough to take my EOS with its Ellie L- Bracket even without a lens so unfortunately it didn't meet my requirement. It's a real shame as I really liked the quality of the bag and it could have been perfect.
I measured the 15L frog pocket as 14cm wide, 16 cm high and 14cm deep.

Not to be deterred, I started to look at the 20L Wraith's as an alternative to the 15L.
It's too big to satisfy the Ryanair luggage restriction but was within the EasyJet restriction. I checked the dimensions. Apart from the additional 5L, it had an extra 4cm width and 5cm in height.
Without knowing the dimensions of the 20L frog pocket, I took a risk and placed an order for the 20L Wraith.
The 20L Wraith arrived today and I'm relieved to report that my Canon EOS with Ellie and my 55-200 lens just fits in the frog pocket.
I measured the frog pocket as 14cm wide, 18 cm high and 17cm deep.
The additional 2cm in height and 3 cm in depth makes all the difference.

I returned the 15L Wraith and kept the 20L version.
My recommendation to the Wraith designers was to consider increasing the depth of the frog pocket on both to increase the chances of using the frog pocket in the way I planned to.
An extra 3cm depth might make all the difference for a small increase in material cost.
OK, I could have kept the 15L bag and just cut through the frog pocket but butchering equipment isn't what I wanted to do.
I also recommended to 3LT to include the dimensions of the frog pocket on the product details as it would help others make a more informed choice and reduce the likelihood of the need to return.
3LT agreed it was a good idea.

Great bag

I bought the 20L Onyx bag. Over all the bag is great. However, if I could change anything it would be,

1) The side access to the bag isn't very deep. I would love if the material extended farther into the bag so I had the option of having a longer lens attached.

2) the inside of the bag is black making it hard to navigate the bag in low light. Reflective strips or lighter coloured inserts would be great.

That being said, these are small things. The bag is great. Feels comfortable when walking, feels strong and well made and looks great.

There is so much room in this bag. I can fit my DSLR with either my 70mm-300mm lens or 105mm Macro lens attached in the main compartment, and have the order lens in another slot. Plus carrying a speed light and my Docz also.

5/5 love this bag for the price of it. Great value.

Just what I needed

My requirement was for a smart camera bag for use as cabin baggage when flying. It needed to hold my Canon EOS R7, selection of lenses, laptop, batteries, memory cards, kindle plus other bits & pieces and travel documents. The 20L Wraith fits the bill admirably. I can fit the R7 with small zoom lens attached in the frog pocket for easy access and there is plenty of room in the main compartment for the 100-500 zoom and all the other bits I need. The side pockets are a bit too tight for the batteries so these need to go in the main compartment too. The laptop/kindle fits nicely in the laptop compartment and there are several handy and accessible pockets for the travel documents. The bag is nicely rigid so does not flop around when loaded like some other bags do. My gear is well protected with the added benefit of the fold-away waterproof cover - ideal for the dash to/from the terminal in this country! I have the blue one - my wife was so impressed with it I have purchased her a black one for use as a travel bag! My only outstanding wish is that it had some way of attaching my travel carbon-fibre tripod.

Lovely bit of kit

You can never have too many cameras. You can never have too many lenses. You can probably never have too many tripods. But above all, you can certainly never have too many bags.
I've lots of bags, large and small - but I didn't have any bags in medium. And what I wanted was a bag to carry a full frame mirrorless camera with 24-105mm lens attached, with space for my 100-400, a wideangle zoom, and maybe 1-2 compact primes and perhaps a flash. Waterproof, with space for my lightweight waterproof jacket, my tablet, and assorted memory cards, spare batts, a USB charger, power bank, a couple of filters and so on.
Got the choice down to a LowePro, a Peak Design, and this. This appeared to meet the spec best, and I got it at a huge discount, so that was good.

It's a very smart bag - mine is blue - with lots of great features. Alternative strapping points for messenger/sling use. The very nifty waterproof jacket compartment - that's genius for storing a wet jacket. Lots of well-thought out pockets.
Bad points - I wish the main zip was the waterproof type - not the end of the world, the waterproof cover works fine, but a slightly odd design choice. And the dividers are very stiff, so getting kit in and out can be slight tricky, but I suspect that will loosen up with time.

But overall, it does just what I wanted, and you can't say fairer than that. Great bag.

Go-to day pack

I've tried just about every camera messenger/sling and this is my go-to whenever I need my mirrorless setup and laptop or iPad. The "frog pocket" is great for keeping wet stuff away from electronics. The capacity is awesome. I've even used as an overnight bag when traveling light, which is something I wouldn't do with most comparably priced messengers.

Great bag

Bought this on a whim, as it was i was looking for, the bag is nice and well made, but keep in mind, if you plan to use a battery grip, it will become a rather snug fit and will require you to reposition the partions

Top Bag

Great

I bought the 20l in Sapphire. I love it, I have a Sony A7iv with 70-200 f2.8 attached that fits vertical in center of bag, I keep my 24-70mm in the frog pocket to get at it easy and have space in bag for another lens or flash.

The only minor things I would say could be improved are;-
Magnetic studs on flap too small.
The 2 admin pockets should have about a 1-2cm of thickness or depth to make it easier to store pens, pads, batteries etc.

A stylish and very practical Messenger Bag

I purchased the large Wraith and the quality is outstanding. It has plenty of pockets for accessories etc. There is plenty of room for all combinations of camera bodies and lenses. I have a Canon R6 with battery grip and RF 100 Macro lens and these fit with ease leaving a decent amount of room for other gear whether it is spare lenses or bodies etc.
All in all i would say it is a brilliant bag that is very practical and also looks the part too. I chose the green version but i'm sure the other colours would look amazing too. Another winner from the guys at Stagsden.
