Constructed from premium 3K weave carbon fibre with aerospace-grade magnesium alloy fixtures, ETHAN 4 supports camera systems weighing up to 60kg (132lb) whilst weighing just 2.4kg (5.3lb), delivering an outstanding 25:1 load-to-weight ratio. ETHAN 4 is supplied with an interchangeable flat mounting plate as standard and can be fitted with an optional 75mm bowl mount (sold separately), allowing photographers and filmmakers to configure the tripod for both stills photography and video production. Each detachable leg can also be converted into a monopod or boom arm, while the canopy can be transformed into a tabletop tripod when paired with 3 Legged Thing's optional tripod footwear, extending the system's versatility beyond conventional tripod use.
Designed to adapt to challenging shooting environments, ETHAN 4 features 3 Legged Thing's new Trigger-Pull leg angle adjustment for rapid deployment on uneven terrain, oversized Helical Strake-style leg locks with an angled grip pattern designed to counteract the effects of wind, and interchangeable tripod feet to suit different surfaces. Multiple accessory mounting points and an integrated QD socket provide seamless compatibility with the 3 Legged Thing AXIS QD camera strap range.
