3 Legged Thing Announces LevelHed Its New Levelling Base Tripod Accessory
The award-winning British tripod manufacturer has announced an evolution of its popular Levelling Base accessory.
3 Legged Thing is excited to announce the LevelHed, a new levelling base accessory for use with tripods. This evolution of 3LT's popular Levelling Base boasts new features inspired by customer feedback.
The LevelHed is designed to be used with any tripod with a 3/8"-16 screw mount and turns it into a levelling base tripod. This enables photographers to make fine adjustments to gain a level horizon, without having to adjust the tripod's legs.
Since the original Levelling Base was released in 2021, customers have given feedback on their usage out in the field and 3 Legged Thing has incorporated this feedback into the new product.

The LevelHed has a new raised mounting platform that gives more clearance from the body. This makes it easier to mount and control clamps and tripod heads on the top of the LevelHed. This now makes it compatible with a wider range of accessories than its predecessor.
The original Levelling Base included a bubble level to aid users in getting a perfectly level set-up, but due to its fixed position the level could be obscured. The LevelHed now has the bubble level set into a metal ring that can be smoothly rotated into the optimum position for easy viewing.
The smooth levelling mechanism is locked and unlocked via a ratcheted knob on the side of the LevelHed, and the 360û panning base is controlled via a knurled knob.
