Meet the team behind the madness that is 3 Legged Thing. Next up, Alison!
Although the Chicken Shed no longer homes actual chickens, 5 days a week between the hours of 9 am and 5:30 pm you will be able to find the 3LT team tirelessly working away on the next big product! Each month we will give you an exclusive behind the scenes access to a team member's life, what they do at 3 Legged Thing, what they do in their spare time and most importantly, what they photograph outside of the world of tripods.
Next in the series is the lovely Alison who is Head of Marketing for 3 Legged Thing. Alison has previously worked in the Music industry, Games industry and the Live Events industry but cites her favourite ever job as the 6 months she spent working at HMV (apart from 3LT, obviously!) Although in those 6 months she often spent half of her wages on records...

What do you do at 3LT?
"Lots of different things – communications, marketing, maintaining the website, looking after our Pro Team, input into product designs, and a whole lot more. We're a small team, so we all get involved in a wide variety of aspects of the business."
How long have you worked for the company?
"I've been at 3 Legged Thing since November 2017. Before that, I was a 3 Legged Thing user. My first 3LT tripod was an Albert." (As pictured above.)
When you're not at work, what do you like to do?
"I love to travel, go to gigs, follow various types of motor racing, all of which I also like to photograph. I also make woolly hats."
What's the best thing about working at 3LT?
"Being part of a company that makes really awesome products, and working with an incredibly talented team of people, who I'm happy to call friends. Oh and Danny is hilarious!"
What do you like to take photographs of?
"I like landscapes, cityscapes, street, travel, and abstracts. I love taking photos of anything that involves water and reflections."
What's your dream photography destination?
"There are a few on my list, but the main ones which I plan to visit are Iceland and Hawaii. I'd also like to visit and photograph Guadalupe where they film the TV show Death in Paradise. It looks really colourful and vibrant (and is hopefully less deadly than the show suggests!)"
What camera gear do you use?
"I have a Fujifilm XT2, a much loved and rather battered Fujifilm X100, and a well-preserved Nikon FM2n film camera. I love the quality of the Fujifilm lenses."
What's your favourite chocolate bar?
"My go-to choice is a Bounty. I love coconut!"
What colour are your socks today?
"Purple (they are most days)"
If you had one wish, what would it be?
"I'd like science to find a quick, clean, and safe way of disposing of the mountains of plastic waste in the world."
