For years, light stands have been... well, dull. Flimsy, annoying to carry, and about as versatile as a politician's opinion. But rejoice photographers and content creators, because we've finally decided to fix the situation.

Meet Luna, a ridiculously lightweight, rock-solid, and actually useful light stand. Crafted from 100% PURE carbon fibre (because we refuse to settle for anything less), with aerospace-grade magnesium alloy supports, Luna takes all the stability wizardry we've mastered in our tripods and applies it to keeping your lights upright.

"Why a Light Stand, and Why Now?"

Good question. Here's what our Overlord-in-Chief, Danny Lenihan, has to say:

"I've avoided the light stand market for ages because I didn't want to just churn out another generic, uninspired bit of kit. Then, with the explosion of mobile content creators, I saw the chance to make something that wasn't just a light stand but also a boom arm for mics and camerasÑsomething actually useful."

Portable, Compact, and Ready for Anything

Luna folds down to just 56 cm (22 inches), meaning it won't demand an extra suitcase every time you travel. But don't let the compact size fool youÑfully extended, it reaches 1.88 m (74 inches), giving you plenty of height for proper lighting setups.

Need more versatility? We've got you:

  • A spring-loaded thread adapter transforms the top mount to fit lights, microphones, smartphones, action cams, and even 360û cameras.

  • The central column detaches to become a boom arm ideal for

- audio setups

- boom microphone

- camera boom

- awkward lighting angles

  • Rubber feet pull off to reveal metal spikes, because sometimes you need your stand to behave itself on grass, sand, or whatever questionable surface you're working on.

How Much Will It Cost You?

Not your firstborn child, thankfully. Luna is priced at £99.99 / $119.99 and is available now from 3LeggedThing.com and decent camera retailers worldwide (no, not the sketchy ones that sell "genuine" brand-name batteries for £3).

Want one? Need one? Go get one. Your lights will thank you.
