The AirHed Vu is the first tripod head in 3 Legged Thing's range with a vision window to allow users to see the internal mechanism that locks the ball into place. The AirHed comes complete with the Arca-Swiss compatible QR-Octa plate. The AirHed Vu features a 360 degree panning base, knurled knobs for extra grip and leverage and the knobs are colour coded. The copper knob* on the AirHed releases the QR-Octa plate from the tripod

*except on Darkness - All knobs are in the Darkness colour

The AirHed Vu's casing features a viewing panel that enables users to see the internal mechanism.

Detachable Clamp

The AirHed Vu's twist clamp can also be removed and used on any 3/8"-16 threaded device. The clamp includes security slots and a bubble level.

Great Ball Head and looks cool. I have heavy long professional lenses and it's no bother to this Ball Head. Very smooth and solid and would recommend.

Rock solid

My original head on Eddie was fine on most occasions, but when using a my 100-400 micro food thirds lens or my telescope, there was always a risk of slight movement. When the opportunity came along to buy this head, which was on offer as an ex-demo model, I took the chance to see if it was indeed an improvement on the original.
Firstly, when it arrived I couldn't see why it wouldn't have been sold as a brand new product. It was a delight to unpack and the head gave all the impressions of being particularly well made from first class materials.
Secondly after using it for a short time, it is definitely an improvement on the original. It is much easier to lock off and when doing so both camera and telescope remain rock solid.
Can't recommend it too much!

Perfect Ballhead

I purchased this tripod head for an upcoming holiday.
First impressions were how impressive it looks with regard to build quality. Everything moves smoothly and when locked down, it is rock solid.
I tested the head firstly with my Nikon Z9 and 14-24mm and it works beautifully with no issue or concern. It is so smooth in its operation!
Also tested it on a Z9 + 400mm 4.5 combo, and again, everything smooth and rock solid.
The biggest plus for me is simple ...it is English made!
I would highly recommend this ballhead.

Excellent piece of kit

Haven't got anything bad to say about this: it feels utterly solid, looks really cool, and holds my camera with 100-400mm lens without even a hint of shake.
Packaging was great, too. I bought it to go on my Brian 2.0, and although the Airhed Neo 2.0 is great, the Vu just feels a little bit more solid, and locks the camera in place more decisively.
