Description

The LevelHed is a levelling base accessory for tripods with a 3/8”-16 screw mounting thread. This useful photography tool allows users to achieve a level horizon without having to adjust their tripod’s leg positions, on even the most challenging terrain. It reduces set-up times and increases the accuracy and precision of levelling - ideal for landscapes, panoramas, and architectural photography.

Formed from precision-engineered, anodised aerospace-grade magnesium alloy, the LevelHed features a raised central mounting plate that gives clearance for head or clamp controls. It has a standard ¼”-20 thread, enabling direct mounting of a camera or lens, or by using the supplied 3/8”-16 adapter, a head or clamp.

The levelling mechanism is released and locked via a ratcheted knob. The LevelHed also features a 360˚ panning base which is controlled via a knurled twist knob on the side of the casing.

Fantastic!

I added a LevelHed between my AirHed Neo 2 and my beloved Punks Billy 2 and what a difference it has made. I now set the ball head to where I think it needs to be - very quickly - and then can fine-tune the level using the LevelHed at any time. Perfect for both landscapes and macro work. Being able to just tweak the setup is amazing and makes a huge difference. If you haven't bought one, you should!

Quality design and function, making tripod set-up a breeze in natures unforgiving terrain.

I bought this at the ExCell 2025 Photography Show, after spending some time with the very helpful team at the 3LT Stand. Great for a quick set up in the field for Nature Photography, when you haven't the time to pfaff around with tripod legs on an uneven surface (in the real world as opposed to a "flat-earther's world !)
Early days but very pleased so far: great design, as ever, from 3LT.

Solid!

While I have just started using the LevelHed, my first reaction is that it is a solid product that functions exactly like it should. Very easy to install and use. Love the revolving bubble level. I was in a cold climate, below freezing or near that, and it worked perfectly.

perfect...

I previously used the old levelhed and it was great the only problem was i could only use a lever clamp and using two different cameras i had to alter the clamp all the time. The new levelhed has been raised so now i can use the panning clamp and its perfect for both my cameras using the L-brackets. This is just perfect.
